Jack Byard

I was born and brought up in Bradford, where I still live with my wife and family, close to Baildon and Ilkley moors.

I am an apprentice trained Rolls Royce and Bentley technician, and have worked at the bench as a jeweller and I love making clocks.

I have always had a love of nature and what is around me. It is worrying and upsetting when 14 year olds do not know that milk comes from cows and that most cheese is made from cow’s milk. Wool coming from sheep is also a surprise. I hope my new book ‘Welcome to Central Park’ and my ‘Know Your’ series to pass on my love of what surrounds us.
