Fran Brady

Fran Brady was born in Dundee and is a graduate of St Andrews University. After a varied career in the voluntary sector, she turned from charity management to creative writing. In six years, she has written three novels, a children's book, lots of short stories and some poetry.

She has three daughters, a stepson, six grandchildren, friends of all ages, a busy life - and a dog. She lives with her husband in a village in West Lothian.

Her first novel, The Ball Game, set in St Andrews University in the sixties. is a lighthearted tale of student shenanigans; her second Novel, A Good Time for Miracles, set in a Fife mining village in the fifties, follows the lives of three families in this post-war time of enormous change. Both novels available on Amazon, of course! Her third novel, awaiting publication, concerns the lives and relationships of four women who all love to campaign for good and grand causes and who meet up over the years at iconic events and sites, such as Greenham Common.

She is currently working on her fourth novel, set on the Isle of Mull in the 1920's. which weaves together themes concerning the life of a lighthouse family, historic events of the Jacobite period Druidic legends from pre-Christian times.
