Malena Watrous

Malena Watrous is a novelist, cookbook author, essayist, short story writer, educator, and author of magazine articles and book reviews. She attended the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, was a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, and then a Jones Lecturer. Her novel, If You Follow Me, won the Michener-Copernicus Award. She co-authored a young adult novel, Sparked, with Helena Echlin. She also co-wrote the cookbook, My Mexico City Kitchen, with chef Gabriela Camara, and Scandinavian from Scratch, with Nichole Accettola. She lives in Santa Cruz, California.
