Henrietta Bond

Henrietta Bond lives in Essex with her husband, two cats and a horse called Dingbat (who she swopped for a pound and a bottle of red wine). She's been trying to write a novel since she was nine and first embarked on the story of 'Daisy the Disgruntled Cow'. Control Freak (diary of a care leaver) - which is published in the UK on 25 Oct 2010 - is her first foray into fiction.

Jacqueline Wilson (author of the Tracey Beaker books) reviewed it as 'a sincere, simply told,ultra-convincing story that shows what it's like to branch out on your own after a childhood in care.'

Prior to this, Henrietta wrote and edited a number of guides to leaving care, adoption and fostering.

To earn a living Henrietta is a freelance journalist, media consultant and coach specialising in children and family issues.
