Jon Brownridge is a Canadian writer with a British background. His early life, schooling and upbringing took place in Yorkshire, England. He was privileged to receive a high-quality private secondary education in Shropshire where he found, not only an opportunity for academic excellence, but a love of adventure, achievement and independence as well.
Jon qualified as a secondary school teacher through the University of London Institute of Education. After teaching in England for five years he took up a teaching position in Toronto, Canada. Through the University of Toronto, he earned a doctorate in the Philosophy of Education and spent the last fifteen years of his teaching career as a school principal in Toronto schools.
Jon currently lives with his wife in Port Hope, Canada, an idyllic small town on the shores of Lake Ontario.
