After winning a national prize for her A-Level in Sociology, she studied English Literature and Language at King’s College in her beloved London, earning the highest mark ever awarded in the module for her groundbreaking dissertation on Linguistics, Culture and Identity. She was also made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
