John F. Plimmer

John F Plimmer was born in Vauxhall, Birmingham and spent 30 years as a top detective in West Midlands. He is a former law lecturer at Birmingham University and script consultant to numerous television and radio dramas. Having had over seventy books published which include The Inside Track and Cutting Edge John has also produced works connected with the American Pioneering West.

His most successful books to date include the twenty book Victorian Detective's Casebook series, featuring Richard Rayner and Henry Bustle of Scotland Yard; Brickbats and Tutus, the biography of Julie Felix, Britain's first black ballerina; The Unassuming Mr. Cresswell, a crime thriller, and Blue Conspiracy based on a true amazing story of a lady who reached the very top of her profession, only to be destroyed by her male colleagues. All seventy books are now available on Amazon in paperback and hardback, and Amazon Kindle. The most humorous in John Plimmer's repertoire is 'Back Street Urchins', a compilation of short stories of how people in Britain's slums lived during the post war years. The most highly recommended work by readers thus far is the historical novel, 'From Culloden to Shiloh' described as a masterpiece of dramatic story telling and currently attracting interest from various film producers.
