Rod Ashley

Rod Ashley worked as an education and management consultant who ran CATS, which became Ashley Consult. He worked across the education and training spectrum and in Europe. Also pictured here is grandson Louis.

Rod has written many books on education and skills for a professional audience (some published under the name Roderic Ashley), as well as popular books on career management. Through these titles he introduced to the UK (and other nations) the concept of 'employability'. He is delighted to see that the term he introduced is now widely-used.

In his retirement he has become a widely-read author on the social history of motoring, and has been published in magazines and journals. His latest popular social history book is: 40 Motoring Heroes: Pioneers, Inventors, Mavericks, and Game Changers. Hawksmoor Publishing. 2025. Available as e-book or paperback. Available on Amazon.

Rod has also written as a popular history book: Wolfram Wars -- Exposing the Secret Battle in Portugal. Bennion Kearny. 2016.

Available as e-book or paperback on Amazon.
