Stephen Brown

Stephen Brown popped into the world in the UK, late in the Autumn of 1974, and ever since then has been trying to build for himself a kind of surrogate womb to exist in, a parallel world to dampen the abrasiveness of modern urban reality.

As well as writing, he is a professional horse-mumbler (not quite as good as a fully-fledged Whisperer) and artist, but tries to spend as much time as possible either backpacking around the far-flung countries of the world or else creating something out of his experiences.

Along with writing, painting and wood-carving he is also a Reiki master and practices meditation. He acknowledges that he has been lucky to have travelled to and lived in many exotic places ever since the tender age of six, and intends to carry on doing this for as long as is humanly possibly. Right now his exotic country of choice is... Belgium.

There is a legitimate reason, he says, but as yet won't tell anybody what it is.

He harbours a deep interest in indigenous cultures from all over the world and draws influences from as many alternative outlooks and perspectives on life as possible. He has four novels to date along with numerous novellas and short stories, hundreds of poems, songs and haiku, all of which should be appearing in the public domain as soon as he can bring some semblance of order to it all.

"Visit my website (www.thestephenbrown.co.uk) to find out more, see some of my paintings, photography and upcoming releases. Or look for me on facebook - even if you don't find me, you should have fun trying! I am always happy to hear from anyone, so please get in touch before I'm too famous!!

I am witty, charming, highly intelligent and available for hire in all (good) shops.

Actually, I'm a very, very interesting person..."
