Allyson Marnoch

Having created the loveable, yet shy, character 'Hoglet,' from 'Hoglet the Spineless Hedgehog', Allyson now brings us 'Stumpy,' a little cat whose character has been inspired by a Manx cat who 'adopted' her several years ago. Allyson couldn't understand why Stumpy was becoming rather round and then it became apparent that she wasn't the only one feeding him!

With a house full of animals Allyson says it's never difficult to come up with new ideas for her stories. However, she sometimes dreams of having a dust-free, designer house and evicting all the spiders, but then again, wouldn't that be a bit boring?!

A picture book for younger children featuring 'Dudley' the guinea pig, called 'What's the Matter with Dudley?' and of course the sequel to 'Hoglet the Spineless Hedgehog,' entitled 'Humphrey the Brave.'
