Marc Smith

Marc Smith is an internationally-known, award-winning author on the game of bridge. A Grand Master and expert player, he is a former European Common Market junior champion who has represented both England and Great Britain at numerous European and World championships. Also a teacher, he coached the Thailand national Open and Junior teams prior to and at the World Mond Sports Olympiad in Beijing.

A contributor to bridge magazines worldwide, Smith has written more than 30 books on the game. Twice a winner of the American Bridge Teachers’ Association “Book of the Year” award, he co-authored “25 Conventions You Should Know”, the world’s best-selling bridge book in the post-war era with more than 300,000 copies sold.

Marc Smith is also an experienced quizzer, both real-life and online. He is a prolific writer on the world's most popular online quiz site, funtrivia.com, with thousands of questions and hundreds of highly-rated quizzes listed under his online quiz pseudonym, EnglishJedi.
