Peter de Ruyter

In 1975 Peter graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, which was then used to obtain entrance to a highly specialized Nursing Course offered by Prince Henry Hospital. He graduated as a Registered Nurse two years later.

Peter worked in several major teaching hospitals in Sydney, and did a second Certificate in 'Nursing Unit Management' at St. Vincent's Hospital. His next arena of employment was in Pathology, which provided comprehensive experience in a multitude of orthodox diagnostic procedures. This background produced an excellent basis from which to enter the Naturopathic arena.

Peter started practice in 1982 as a Natural Therapist, specializing in Medicinal Herbs, at the Sydney based 'Village Healing & Growth Center'. He presently works from Randwick, an inner suburb of Sydney, Australia, focusing more on stress management and Reiki.

He has done national lectures tours in Australia, as well as speaking at Herbal Conferences, both at home and in the USA, discussing a wide range of subjects relating to health. He has organized and facilitated many week-end workshops in which people are shown how to empower themselves, especially in regard to their health. In several radio and TV appearances, similar topics have been expanded upon. Peter is author to the book 'Coping With Candida', which went into a second edition. His next book, titled 'Living with HIV/AIDS - a practical guide to staying well', was published by Allen & Unwin in 1996.

After 31 years of consulting with thousands of clients, Peter has used all that experience to write his most important book: 'Lifenotes - a user's guide to making sense of life on planet earth'.

His latest book is on the topic of low thyroid function - a health condition that has reached epidemic proportions in the West - and is titled: 'Sluggish Thyroid Syndrome - why tests keep coming back normal, yet you continue feeling unwell'.

He still does some part-time consulting, and with his earlier training in the areas of orthodox healing and science, he finds himself well placed to continue being of service in a truly Wholistic manner.
