Felicity Heathcote

Felicity Heathcote, a Dublin-based clinical psychologist, teacher and writer has spent several years in Palestine where she conducted workshops for the UN and other non-governmental groups in Gaza and the West Bank. Born in England, she has also worked in Iran, Japan, Saudi Arabia the USA.

Psychologist to the Irish Olympic team in Barcelona and Sydney, she applies her adapted zen techniques to sport, business, the arts and education. Her publications include Peak Performance: Zen and the Sporting Zone (1996) and The Learning Zone (2000), both published by Wolfhound Press.

Committed to human rights and the dignity of the Person, she hopes that the Resting Place of the Moon will bring home to readers an understanding of daily life in places where conflict and fear brutalise communities and individuals.
