Maggie Clark

Maggie Clark is a humorist who started writing as soon as she could hold a pen. As a child, she tried to frustrate her first grade teacher into teaching her cursive so that she could write like the grownups. She published many a book of penciled poems, bound with a well-placed staple or two.

She says Hugh Mouse is her alter ego. He was born in her weekly column, "Not Too Seriously," that she wrote while working for the Green Lake Reporter in Wisconsin. Her children say Hugh was their sibling. He loved to aggravate them by getting Maggie to write funny stories about her children's antics in her column! Hugh really is a mischievous mouse!
