Paul Du Noyer

Paul Du Noyer's most recent book is The Complete John Lennon Songs 1970-1980, a track-by-track study of Lennon's last decade as revealed through his music. (Updated and expanded, it replaces earlier versions such as 1997's We All Shine On and 2010's Working Class Hero.) Paul's previous book was Conversations With McCartney, drawn from his interviews with the man over the past 35 years. Paul's writing career began on Britain's legendary music weekly the New Musical Express. He later joined the launch team of Q magazine, becoming its editor in the early 1990s. He was then the founding editor of MOJO magazine and later worked on the launches of Heat and The Word. Along the way his interviewees have ranged from Elvis Costello to Pavarotti, and Madonna to David Bowie. His other books include Wondrous Place, about the popular music of his home town Liverpool, and In The City: A Celebration Of London Music. He also wrote a biography of the cult Liverpool art band Deaf School. Du Noyer has edited, or been a contributor or consultant, on many other titles besides.
