Chris Webster

Christopher Webster read English at St David’s, Lampeter and took a master’s degree in Education at Sheffield University. His first educational publication was Poetry Through Humour and Horror (Cassell, 1987). This was followed by many more educational publications. More recently, he has focused on writing fiction and poetry. He is particularly interested in writing about his cultural heritage, which gives him plenty of scope, since it ranges from Anglo-Saxons to Yorkshire miners, and includes Robin Hood, the Wars of the Roses and King Henry VIII along the way. The link between these diverse elements is his home town of Conisbrough, its castle, and the nearby colliery, Cadeby Colliery (now pulled down and grassed over). More information about the author, and details of FREE book offers, can be found on his website, the link to which is on the back page of his recent books.
