Paul Estabrooks

I have eleven grandchildren...three children...but only one wife! They are the joy of my life and most of my writing is dedicated to them.

Born in New Brunswick, Canada, I grew up with three younger brothers in hockey playing Ontario.

Married Dianne Palmer from London, ON in 1965 and we will soon celebrate our sixtieth wedding anniversary.

My post-secondary education was at LCBM in London, ON (Now Tyndale University)...and then a Master's degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

I worked at CFPL-TV in London and then in the Philippines with the Far East Broadcasting Company.

Beginning in 1979, I was with Open Doors International for 38 years and it is in this context of Christians in restricted countries that most of my writing has been directed and sourced. My book co-authored with Dr. Jim Cunningham, STANDING STRONG THROUGH THE STORM is now translated in more than 48 languages. The Third Edition was published in 2020.

I also do a lot of speaking on this subject as well.

My latest book is a travel memoir titled AROUND THE WORLD IN FORTY DAYS with Paul Estabrooks.

I am retired and reside in London, Ontario and am host of the podcast/broadcast MEN ALIVE with my life-long best friend, Dr. Jim Cunningham.
