Alex Nye

Alex Nye is the award-winning author of eight novels. She spends her time writing and walking in the Scottish landscape where she lives, and feels surrounded by stories - in the people and lives around her. She is also a Teaching Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund at the University of Stirling, and regularly speaks at book festivals and literary events. She has several times been a Writer in Residence and Creative Writing Mentor through the Scottish Book Trust. She has written books about Mary Queen of Scots, Mary Shelley, Glencoe, the Jacobites, refugees and the care system in Scotland, as well as a novel from the point of view of Death Herself. Her latest novel is Gallow Falls, a crime mystery set on a remote Scottish estate.
