David C. Ayre

I have written many books, mostly science fiction but have concentrated, initially, on children's adventure books. I have also written many screenplays for television and plays for theatre including two pantomimes and a musical.

I have since written a series of books centred on Alan Westbrook, the first being 'Broken Helix', followed by 'Where There's Life...', which delves into artificial intelligence and explores how an artificial creature would view the human race. This is followed by 'Monkey Puzzle' where one of the few surviving mechanoids is dismantled, by one of the others, to build four small mechanoids in the form of monkeys.

I am now working on a fourth book in the Alan Westbrook series, called 'Ill Wind' which looks into the various aspects of climate change, and how various factions use this idea for their own ends.

I also have a part-finished novel called 'Brother Unbeliever' based on the murder of one of the Abbots of Jervaulx Abbey. This is a historical fact, but there is not much detail in the records. I am busy writing this niow.
