Anthea Lawrence lives in Mid-Wales (Powys) and teaches people to train their gundogs.
She runs group classes throughout the year and also offers one-to-one tuition with the aim of helping young puppies learn from 10 weeks of age everything they need to know about living in the home, living in the community and eventually, for some, becoming working gundogs who are an asset to any shooting situation. She also offers help to handlers who wish to enter Gundog working tests, Field Trials, Working Gundog certificate and Show gundog certificate..
She offers training for any breeds in the Retriever, Spaniel and HPR groups, running mixed classes where the dogs learn to work together. In addition she enjoys problem solving for any variety gundog and is keen to find solutions for a handler who appears to have a dog who doesn't quite understand what is required in one or more aspects of training and/or behaviour.
She has written 4 books on gundog training, the latest published by Quiller called 'Training the Working Retriever'
She welcomes enquiries about training and also comments about her books and methods of training.
