Ian Watson was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1962, has traveled widely and currently lives in London. Having no known connection to the well-known science fiction writer of the same name, Ian has worked in the field of alternative health and wellbeing since becoming interested in herbal medicine and flower essences as a teenager. He qualified as a homeopath in 1988 and was the co-founder of The Lakeland College, a homeopathic training school in the U.K. His first book 'A Guide to the Methodologies of Homeopathy' is a firm favorite amongst students and practitioners, and is required reading at many homeopathic schools. He then produced an edited seminar transcript called 'Aspects of Homeopathy-Musculo-Skeletal Problems', containing many clinical hints and observations on this subject. A collaboration with Rana Chalabi, an artist friend based in Cairo, led to the publication of 'The Tao of Homeopathy', a beautifully-illustrated exploration of the homeopathic and taoist philosophies. His most recent work is titled 'The Homeopathic Miasms-A Modern View', providing a much-needed modern perspective on this controversial aspect of homeopathic philosophy.
