Scott C. Sherman

I live in Chicago, Illinois with my wife and two young sons. I work at Cook County (Stroger) Hospital as an Emergency Physician. After finishing medical school at Northwestern University in 1998, I completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Cook County. I started as a faculty member in 2002 and began work as an assistant program director and clerkship director. Under the mentorship of Robert Simon, I began work on my first book project, Emergency Orthopedics, The Extremities in 2005. My interest in medical student education in Emergency Medicine prompted a second book, USMLE Road Map: Emergency Medicine. We use this book in our medical student curriculum at Cook County. Most recently, the newest edition of Emergency Orthopedics has been released with a new section on the spine, all new color figures, and video clips.
