I started writing in 2004 at the age of 58 after having a brain tumour removed. My neuro surgeon advised me to keep my brain active, I don't think it was quite what he had in mind!
I love the Victorian era, it seems as if it is in my blood. When I'm writing I am transported to the scenes of my stories and feel I am actually living it as the main female character.
I've always loved reading, especially romance and mystery. I loved Victoria Holt and Dorothy Eden books to name only a couple.
I like to enclose romance and mystery in my stories and hope to convey to the reader the very essence of Victorian times.
I love secrets, gravestones, old houses, lace, flowing silk dresses, darkhaired men & weddings! I think you will find all this in my stories.
I am an ordinary housewife with a lovely husband, two daughters, one stepdaughter, eight grandchildren, one greatgrandchild on the way & a black retriever dog called Alfie. When I see my books on the library shelf it is still surreal.
I love reading as well as writing. I also am an avid fan of the cinema and all types of music, especially Elvis!
My next book 'Love in the Mist' is out with Ulverscroft in April 2010 & 'The Butterfly Dance' in July 2010. Enjoy!
