Edward Abdo

Ed Abdo has been actively involved with motorcycles for over 50 years.

He began his addiction with motorcycles at the age of eight when his parents bought him a Rupp “Chopper” Mini-bike. He started racing amateur motocross in 1973 on a Hodaka Ace 100 and was a successful road racer in the 1980’s on a Honda V-Twin. He continues to race motocross locally on occasion with his son Nick.

His motorcycle industry experience gave him the opportunity to travel the world and spans over 40 years. Ed has worked in various service related positions at the dealer level as well as in the technical training field as an Instructor, Chief Instructor and Curriculum Development Manager for the largest motorcycle vocational school in the country. He also spent ten years with American Honda – seven of those years heading the Service Education department in American Honda’s Motorcycle Division.

He has written motorcycle and small engine technology textbooks for secondary and post-secondary students.

Ed currently owns and operates a motorcycle service and repair business specializing in vintage restorations. He has also owned and operated s a Motocross facility in Western New York.

He resides with his wife Bonnie and son Nick in West Valley, New York.
