Noel Duffy

Noel Duffy was born in Dublin. His debut poetry collection, In the Library of Lost Objects, appeared in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Strong Award for best first collection by an Irish poet. It was followed by the highly praised On Light & Carbon in 2013 and Summer Rain in 2016. His most recent collection, Street Light Amber, was described in London Grip magazine as "reminiscent of that sort of dusky half-world most people walk through to get somewhere else – a noisy, well-lighted bar, perhaps, or home to the family – but in which Duffy revels with a photographer’s eye." Duffy's work has appeared widely in Ireland and beyond (including The Irish Times, Poetry Ireland Review and The Financial Times) and has been broadcast on RTE Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4. He was awarded the Patrick & Katherine Kavanagh Fellowship in Poetry, 2018. He lives in Dublin's dockland district.
