Paul McDermott is a psychotherapist and writer who divides his time between London and Zurich, where he lives a simple life rooted in daily practice. For nearly 20 years, he trained psychotherapists and counsellors in London, and his ongoing work is focused on helping people free themselves from controlling systems so they can win back their original nature and go on to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
His first book, Pilgrims, began as a dream — literally. A therapist he was supervising dreamed he was to write two books: Pilgrims and The Story of My Life. That second title has since evolved into The Biography of a System, a three-part memoir and psychological exploration, the first volume of which will be published in 2025.
