Alicia Kennedy

Alicia Kennedy is a design writer and editor. Most recently, she conceived, art directed, and cowrote Fashion Design, Referenced: A Visual Guide to the History, Language, and Practice of Fashion (Rockport Publishers), which Designers & Books named a Notable Design Book of 2013. She was cofounder and coeditor of the award-winning Assemblage: A Critical Journal of Architecture and Design Culture (MIT Press), which from 1986 to 2000 established itself as a leading forum on architecture theory worldwide. She teaches courses in dress and culture and twentieth-century fashion history at Lasell University.
