William B. B. Moody

William B.B. Moody was born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island. After graduation from Wesleyan University with honors in general scholarship, distinction in history, Phi Beta Kappa, he taught English in the Lycée Gay-Lussac in Limoges, France and returned to the U.S. to teach French at the secondary level. His teaching career was interrupted by 30 years of service as a cryptologic officer in the U.S. Navy. After retirement form the Navy as a captain, he spent another ten years in high school teaching. After a second retirement he has devoted himself to writing, musical activities, babysitting grandchildren, walking, and travel. He and his wife, Janet Cline-Moody, divide their time between homes in Incline Village, Nevada, and Bethesda, Maryland.
