Dominic Torr was British diplomat during the Cold War. Since then he's been a diplomatic consultant. This explains how all his four spy stories to date have real authenticity. He does a lot of background research in different parts of the world where the fictional action happens.
For example his work on East Germany helped a lot for his latest story 'Hoodwink' where he describes Soviet and then Russian control of spies from there in Western Europe (Mr. Putin's old stamping ground!)
By chance Torr came across the case of abuse of Freemasonry described in 'Hoodwink's' chapter 1 - that led Torr to do further research on the "Craft" and to choose abuse of Freemasonry as the background to 'Hoodwink'.
In the world of international affairs he does what he can to encourage action on climate change. One of Torr's interests is international poetry.
