Carole Leah

Carole Leah has loved writing for as long as she can remember. At Junior School she won a Cadbury's competition for writing an article. She trained as a Nursery/Infant teacher and then specialised in the teaching of reading. Although she collated a regular newsheet for her church for many years, she has used her skills more recently to write for children.

In 1984 she was asked to write a Biblically based reading project which she has developed ever since. This project is called Diamond Books. 100 books are planned and there are 12 sets of books for 7 age groups between the ages of 3 and 9 years. The first set 'The Creation Series' (Set A) is a boxed set of 8 books primarily intended for reading to 3--4-year-olds. The second set of books (Set B) is a boxed set of 16 books, 'The Jesus Series', for 4--5-year-olds to read themselves. It is currently being published by Westbow Press in the States.

She is married to Mike who is a caretaker and has his own DIY business. They have two adopted children and a granddaughter.
