Philip Gelatt was born in Wisconsin and lives in Brooklyn. His apartment is small and his book collection is large. He has been intrigued by Rasputin and spies for as long as he can remember. His secret dream is to begin a collection of assassination memorabilia which would include both the bullet that killed Rasputin and the ice axe that killed Trotsky. He has no Russian blood. He once claimed that his favorite James Bond was George Lazenby.
He writes graphic novels and screenplays for a living. He recently wrote and directed the indie thriller THE BLEEDING HOUSE.
