Suzanne Darley

California native, Suzanne Darley,PhD. REACE, has consistently explored the interface between art and healing in her work as both an educator and author in realms that span from the deeply personal to the political. Beginning with a BA from Stanford University in International Relations she went on to sing opera internationally. She left the career to explore the role of the arts in society more deeply and became both an expressive arts educator (an MA from The California Institute of Integral Studies)and Waldorf teacher.

Her first title, "The Expressive Arts Activity Book: A Resource for Professionals", hailed as "state-of-the-art", has become a standard text in the field of expressive arts therapy and education.

Her newest title,"Fifteen Contemporary Creatives: Unleashing Images of the New Apocalyptic Paradigm" takes on a wider focus: the concept of the Apocalypse as articulated by contemporary, creative visionaries. This time she delves into the global issue of climate change and apocalyptic thought.

Ms. Darley lectures internationally on expressive arts education, and maintains a small, private voice studio in the Bay Area, for professionally tracked young singers.
