James Chalmers

James Chalmers was born in London to Scottish parents. He now lives and works as a writer in Northwest England. Although James has a background in science and engineering, he has always been interested in the creative arts. Whilst working as a manager in the Telecoms Industry, he supplemented his income by writing non-fiction management guide books and as an artist and art tutor. When the opportunity came along to take voluntary redundancy, James turned his back on industry to become a writer. He formed his own theatre company and produced several of his own plays at local theatres, before moving on to make short drama and documentary films. He takes writing very seriously whether this be a book or a play, and he has a passion for telling stories that are believable and entertaining.
