Matthew Taylor

Matthew Taylor is Professor of History at the International Centre for Sport History and Culture at De Montfort University, Leicester. He was educated at the University of York and previously taught at the University of Portsmouth. He has published widely on the history of sport and recreation in Britain and Europe and the transnational and global history of sport. He is currently working on studies of women's boxing and post-war English football.
