Anita Dowsing

Anita Dowsing grew up in Denmark's tiny Catholic community, but she has spent most of her adult life in the United Kingdom. She has an MA in English from Copenhagen University and a PhD in Old English from the University of Wales.

Anita Dowsing has retained her interest in English language, but she has spent the greater part of her life pursuing her other strong interest, theology. She has worked in adult religious education in the Diocese of East Anglia as Co-ordinator of the Norwich Deanery Team and she was, until recently, a member of the Diocesan Commission for Marriage and Family Life. She was one of the facilitators at the Catholic Bishops' Conference for England and Wales working group, producing resource material on marriage and family life for parish use. She has recently published her third book.

She enjoys swimming with her adult daughter and hill walking with her husband.
