RUTH DICKSON

(RALDICKS@aol.com)

Before, during and after writing-related jobs, I have had numerous careers in a variety of fields, including social work, acting and modeling. I have also taught English, creative writing and woman’s psychology. Combined with a stint as a life coach, I founded the Phoenix Society, a support group for midlife women in the Miami area.

Previously, after having become the hottest “get” on the radio/TV talk show circuit as a result of promoting my books, I was given my own show on KFI, Los Angeles, which became my final enterprise before leaving the country. Eight years of travel ensued, during which time I became fluent in Greek and Spanish, took random jobs (mostly legal) and added substantially to my store of life lessons, many of which appear in my most recent book, LIFE, DEATH AND OTHER TRIVIA.

Having been written in the sixties and seventies, an era of revolutionary change in American manners and mores, my early work has gained the attention of a new generation of readers. Available in Kindle and other e-reader formats as well as in traditional form, all the books are thought-provoking, entertaining and as controversial as ever.
