Hoofprints in Eden (Hayloft, 2005, reprinted 2012) won its class in the Lakeland Book of the Year Awards in 2006; Against the Odds (Allen, 1995) has been reprinted and followed by a sequel, Scratch (Jackdaw, 2018) and One Fell Swoop (Sun Studios, 1987) has just been reprinted for the third time. They are all available for Kindle as well as in paperback form.

I was born in Cheshire and moved to Cumbria in 1975 when I got married. Graham and I bought a little house in Shap (just as well we both like Weather) and eight years later we moved to what he calls "a very small hamlet at the end of the world" and have been here ever since - along with a friendly bunch of equines, dogs and cats.

My academic qualifications are diverse - Bachelor's degree in Literature and Education, Masters in Multimedia Computing. When the University of Cumbria offered me early retirement I moved on to managing web sites, and editing and proofing books, so I decided to start doing all this for my OWN work. And here I am now, with well over a dozen books to my name: and still more to come, I hope.
