Christopher Wilkins was born in Oxford and read English at King’s College, Cambridge. His debut novel, “Finger” was published while he was still in his twenties, and his latest, “Glass” was published on Kindle in April this year. His 1999 work, “The Horizontal Instrument” was described in The Spectator as “An astonishingly moving novel about everything that matters”. One of the most successful advertising copywriters of his generation, his creation of the Smash Martians was named by Campaign Magazine as Ad of the Century. He lives in rural seclusion in Sussex with his wife, the watercolourist, Siān Wilkins, and spends a good part of the year in Venice.
