Prize-winning poet, photographer and seven times Pennine Way completer Andrew Cannon lives in North Norfolk, as far as possible from any hills. He has four random degrees and has muddled through several careers but one way or another has always ended up writing.
Verifiable outputs include two small books about birds, academic papers and a PhD thesis; for five years he was also editor and main writer of a quarterly garden bird magazine. Andrew writes songs too, several have sunk without trace on Bandcamp.
Since compiling into a book his best photos and quirkiest anecdotes of the trail with a few poetic meditations on the questions that occurred to him while on it, Andrew has walked the Pennine Way twice more in search of answers. Erm... Meanwhile his colourful, thoughtful and entertaining little book has been really quite popular.
