Heather Charnley

I am both an artist and writer and have used both mediums as a way to explore and understand spiritual truths and especially those to be found in nature. I meditated a great deal and began to paint what I saw in meditations.

I became very involved in understanding earth mysteries in the 1980's, which saw the beginnings of my journey to creating the Sacred Sites & Places of Power Series, consisting of the meditative handbook, where I travelled around the UK to visit ancient sites and tune into their energies to understand about why they were made and one of the end results to ley lines. I painted all the images seen in my books, and then went on to write about the sites, to complement what I had painted.

I see the energies at ancient sites as the life force of the planet being funnelled into stone circles, which act as a cone of power or generative force which the ancients would have created to keep the energy of the planet at surface level in good shape, and interconnected via the leys to all other sites. This is shown in my books.

I have since taken some courses in shamanism and also crystal healing, as I know they will help to look deeper into nature and ultimately myself.

I live in the north of England in a rural setting, a nice quiet backdrop for doing my creative work.
