Jonathan Brant

The Revd Dr Jonathan Brant has been the Oxford Pastorate Chaplain since 2008. He has overall responsibility for leading the team in serving the postgraduate and research community. He is also the Founding Director of the Oxford Character Project and a Research Fellow in Theology at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford. Jonathan is the author of Paul Tillich and the Possibility of Revelation through Film and the editor of Cultivating Virtue in the University (both published by OUP). He also wrote the award-winning Young Person’s Guide to Knowing God and other popular books about Christian faith. Jonathan is married to Tricia and has an adult son, Isaac. When not working, he might be found walking in the Cotswolds or watching films in a local cinema.
