I've been a Royal Marine Commando SNCO, a Sgt in 1 Ranger Squadron, NZ SAS, a Det/Sgt in the NZ Police, and a 3-stripe Chief of Security on cruise ships.

I've been writing for several years and write from experience.

I write mainly crime, but have covered most genres (except Romance).

I've also written over two hundred short stories, many published long ago when the UK had a lot of short story magazines. These are also in several genres - Crime, Supernatural, Military, South Africa, and Misc.

I just like to write, but over the years the publishing world has changed greatly. I asked my grandkids once had they read Dickens and they said they had, even quoted names like Martin Chuzzlewit, Bleak House, etc. Close questioning revealed that they hadn't read one - seen them all on TV!
