Hello and thank you for finding my Amazon page. Having been a news journalist and television anchor for a very long time I have become an author. Writing was something I always enjoyed but from the school days of writing fiction , I suddenly found myself working with both BBCNews and ITV daytime, where scripts have to be factually correct and impartial. The word 'Journalist' describes those who were able to read and write in centuries past. To jot down their own everyday experiences; being truthful about what they did and what they saw. They were the pioneers of journalism as we know it. When Harper Collins first asked me to write a novel for them I was uncertain and very nervous, but Editors are wonderful people. They encourage, they cross examine, they hold your hand and send chocolate and wine through the post to get their writer over the line.

Eventually I began to find my feet and also find the delights of not having to do much fact checking. I could make up birthdays for the characters, have them fall in love or break their hearts, fail and then succeed. But the best fun is killing them off when they have gone beyond redemption.

Born in London but growing up in Bucks, I now live on Cornwall's North coast just a brisk 25 minute walk down to my nearest beach. I have set almost all my books in Cornwall because I have loved being here since my mum brought me down as a baby for magical holidays in Looe. The county has so much history. I love the summer and seeing all the holiday makers happy to be here, taking surf lessons and sitting out in the evening with a drink and a barbecue. The brown limbed children queuing up at the beach cafes for ice cream. Even the dogs chasing balls and stealing picnic sandwiches. Once the visitors have left and autumn ,then winter, kicks in the county becomes even more beautiful. Remote, weather battered and romantic.
