Latest book now in Kindle: Spirals of Truth.

Robert's intention, with this page in Author Central, is to help draw attention to his book, principally in Kindle. People say that if you have written a book you need to have it published by a mainstream publisher. Of course that's what every writer wants but Robert has fun writing and wants to see his work out there as fast as possible so that people can enjoy it.

Spirals of Truth is a re-write of Jammy Dodgers which is no longer available. A book can always be improved on, even a good one. And the title also now better represents the story.

It is a twisting, tumbling flow of fictional/factional events that draws its inspiration from the Ice-Cream Wars in and around Glasgow.

Born in Glencoe,Robert later spent many years working and studying in Glasgow and lots of quirky little memories find there way into the story. He considers himself lucky that he never encountered any of the bad guys portrayed in Spirals although he did have a go once at being an ice-cream man in the Stirling area. It was and still is a very competetive business.

The main character in the story is a retired crime writer looking back over how events had impacted on his life. Author Robert, now also retired, has looked back with similar retrospect at the story of Jamie Robertson, that he created. You can't go back and tweak the events and actions that impacted on your life but with Amazon Kindle an author can go back and tweak his book.

It was a good book before. It's a great book now.
