Caleb Clark

Raised by back-to-the-land first wave hippies in San Francisco and then Southern Maine, Caleb had a very alternative elementary education followed by public high school. His first jobs in elementary and high school were as a gopher in a candle shop, a bike mechanic, and a house painter. His early professional jobs included bartending, deckhand, and carpentry while he occasionally published freelance articles. During and right after getting a journalism bachelor's degree, he focused on film and video production while continuing to write. He then followed the dotcom boom to the Bay Area and discovered a passion for humane technology, went back to school for educational technology, and began a career in K-12 and higher education as a teacher, media producer, and technologist.

Caleb lives in Vermont with his wife, two children, and a Siberian forest cat named Onions.
