Sherry Bishop

An accomplished author and presenter, Sherry Bishop is the epitome of a faculty member who has served as a catalyst for intelligent application of innovation and change in both the nation and state during her long career at North Arkansas College. Sherry has been presented with the ACBSP Regional Teaching Excellence Award, the NISOD International Conference on Teaching Excellence Award, and three Endowed Chairs in Technology. She is a 2009 nominee for the Association of Community College Trustees’ Faculty Member Award. In her hometown of Harrison, Arkansas, Bishop founded the Ozarks Art Council and the Harrison Investment Team. She is a Master Gardener and has served her church as the Scholarship Committee Chair, former Administrative Board Chair, Board of Trustee Chair, and President of the United Methodist Women. The League for Innovation has recognized Sherry as the founder, organizer and co-host of the popular First Timers Reception held each year.
