Brian C. Ladd (1964 - ) was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI. By birth a Wolverine, he graduated from the University of Michigan just in time to join the U.S. Army. After 4 years, 4 months, and 4 days (but who's counting?) and a Master's in Computer Information Systems from Boston University's Overseas Division, he mustered out.
A number of years spent at UNC-Chapel Hill culminated in a PhD in Computer Science. His abiding joy is teaching computer science and playing computer games. He took a one year leave of absence to work as a programmer at Epic Games in Cary, NC. He is an additional programmer Unreal Chapionship II: The Liandri Conflict.
His research interest in computer games led to his writing (with Jam Jenkins) of Introductory Programming with Simple Games.
