I started my career as a wedding photographer in the 1970's when I was employed as a fireman. Initially I worked as an assistant to one of the leading photographers in the area and before long had my own studio and left the fire brigade. As well as photographing weddings, I was also a portrait and commercial photographer. However photographing weddings has always been and still is my greatest love.

I have written The Beginners Guide To Wedding Photography as a guide to those who aspire to earn money either full time or part time from probably one of the most enjoyable and rewarding careers it is possible to have.

It has been written to be easily understood by anyone, even someone new to photography and covers every aspect from choosing equipment to eventually gaining a qualification. It tells you what pictures to take, covers the essential rules of posing and composition, how to deal with problems and difficult situations, editing your photo's and even tells you the best way to gain experience and find your first jobs.
