He has a particular expertise in the world of search, distributed architectures, business intelligence and application development. He has worked with SQL Server since 1998 and has always focused on high performance reliable systems.
Simon was awarded as an MVP in 2006. He runs the UK SQL Usergroup in London and founded the SQL Bits the largest SQL Server conference in the Europe in 2007. He is a regular speaker at SQL Server events as well as writing for his blog http://sqlblogcasts.com/blogs/simons . He recently co-developed SQL Server 2008 training for Microsoft and has been involved in writing and reviewing SQL Server 2008 certification exams.
