I was challenged at a conference in Scotland to conquer my inner critic and focus on doing something I had always wanted to do but didn’t. So I wrote a trilogy, Finding Passion: Confessions of a Fifty-Year Old Runaway; Sensing Passion: Travels of a Fifty-Five Year Old Divorcee’ (which won the Greatest Start writing contest) and Embracing Passion: Adventures of a Woman., all available on Amazon. My daughter Tessie and I also completed a book of poetry and prose, Embracing Passion: A Heart's Desire. What can I say? I love passion. I just finished writing Maumee Wattaa: Queen of the Ocean. The story came about because of my frequent visitors to Liberia where someone would know someone that had come upon her while she was bathing and taken her comb. I wanted to show that such a character would have to have an indomitable amount of strength but also show her vulnerability and give girls confidence in themselves.
